Wedding Video | Two people’s story, cut into one film

Common types of wedding video

  • Growing-up film (growing-up MV): photographs and footage of the couple from childhood onwards, the film most often played to open the banquet
  • Wedding opening film: setting the mood before the entrance, usually shorter and more strongly paced
  • Love story film: how the two met, through to the proposal
  • Proposal footage edit: the footage from the day of the proposal cut into one complete film
  • Wedding day coverage: a multi-camera edit of the collection of the bride, the ceremony and the banquet
  • Thanks to parents film: a segment of thanks to both sets of parents

Common formats and lengths

  • Growing-up film: 3–5 minutes is the most common. Any longer and guests lose patience
  • Opening / entrance film: 60–90 seconds
  • Wedding day highlights: 5–10 minutes
  • Banquet hall projection is mostly 16:9, landscape 1920×1080; we recommend checking the venue’s screen ratio separately
  • Always test playback at the venue beforehand, particularly the volume and the caption size

Please prepare these materials

The rules for materials are simple. Just follow whichever one of the options below matches what you have:

1. You already have footage

  • Upload the original files to Google Drive, then share the folder link with us
  • Please put the files in order first — name them in the order you want them to appear (01, 02, 03…). This step saves a great deal of back-and-forth and makes the quote more accurate
  • Please send the original files rather than sending them through a messaging app, which compresses them and costs you quality

2. You do not have footage yet

A simple script is enough. You only need to write down three things:

  • From which second to which second
  • What is on screen
  • What text appears

For example:

0–5 sec | Opening shot (for example an aerial of the setting, the entrance, the product itself) | Text: the brand or topic name
5–12 sec | Main content, camera pushing in slowly | Text: the one line you most want people to remember
12–20 sec | Closing shot | Text: contact details or a call to action

It does not need to be beautifully written, just clear. We will use that script to assess how feasible it is and what the scope of work would be.

For anything else, just ask on our official LINE.

How we work together

Every project is bespoke, so the process starts with “taking a look first”, not with a price.

Fill in the enquiry form

Tell us the video type, length, format and delivery date. It takes about a minute.

Send the material or a script

If you have footage, upload it to Google Drive and put it in order; if you do not, send a simple three-point script (from which second to which second / what is on screen / what text appears).

Assessment and quotation

We tell you what we found and how much improvement you can expect, and send a quote for you to decide on. If we judge that it cannot be handled, we will say so and explain why.

Production and delivery

We deliver a first cut on the agreed schedule, and export the finished film once the revisions are confirmed. Working days are counted from confirmation of payment.

Frequently asked questions

Roughly how many photographs should we prepare?

Estimating about 3 seconds per photograph, a 3-minute growing-up film needs around 60 and a 5-minute one around 100. Better to prepare more and let us choose than to end up right on the edge of the number.

The old photographs are blurry and yellowed. Can they be saved?

Most can be improved noticeably. We denoise, colour-correct and sharpen to a reasonable degree. If a photograph is already badly out of focus, there is a limit to how much can be improved, and we will tell you that first. For how this works, see old video restoration.

Can we use copyrighted pop songs?

For private playback at the wedding itself this is usually not a problem. But if you later upload to YouTube or post publicly on social, the platform will very likely flag it as infringing and mute or remove it, so that is a judgement for you to make.

How far in advance should we start?

We suggest starting to gather material a month before the wedding and handing it to us three weeks before. That leaves enough time for revisions and avoids a scramble in the final week.

Can you also edit footage from the wedding day itself?

Yes. With multi-camera material we align the timelines first, then edit. If the on-site sound has noise or uneven levels, that can be dealt with at the same time — see live recording repair.
